[FR] – Stephane Ginsburgh a donné des récitals en soliste et en musique de chambre dans le monde entier et s’est produit dans de nombreux festivals internationaux dont Ars Musica (Bruxelles), Quincena Musical (San Sebastian), ZKM Imatronic (Karksruhe), Agora (Paris), Bach Academie Brugge, Ultima Oslo, Darmstadt Internationale Ferienkurse, Gaida (Vilnius), Warsaw Autumn, Klara Festival (Bruxelles) et Musica Strasbourg.
Infatigable arpenteur du répertoire mais aussi explorateur de nouvelles combinaisons alliant voix, percussion, performance ou électronique, il s’est dédié très tôt à la musique contemporaine tout en développant un vaste répertoire classique. Il joue régulièrement au sein de l’ensemble Ictus et a collaboré avec de nombreux compositeurs tels que Frederic Rzewski, James Tenney, Philippe Boesmans, Jean-Luc Fafchamps, Stefan Prins ou Matthew Shlomowitz dont il a créé des œuvres, ainsi qu’avec des chorégraphes tels qu’Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker et des plasticiens tels que Peter Downsbrough et Kurt Ralske.
Stephane Ginsburgh a enregistré l’intégrale des Sonates pour piano de Prokofiev pour Cypres records, Feldman, Duchamp, Satie, Fafchamps pour Sub Rosa et David Toub en première mondiale pour World Edition. En 2018, Grand Piano/NAXOS a publié la première mondiale du “Bad-Tempered Electronic Keyboard”, un cycle de 24 Préludes et Fugues du compositeur et écrivain Anthony Burgess. Son dernier enregistrement est consacré à “Piano Hero” sur un album Stefan Prins chez Kairos.
Il a étudié le piano avec Paul Badura-Skoda, Jerome Lowenthal, Vitaly Margulis et Claude Helffer. Stephane Ginsburgh est également titulaire d’un bachelier en philosophie des sciences de l’U.L.B. et d’un doctorat en Arts de la V.U.B.
